Nightclub District, Limbo City, Tuesday Evening
Anders wasn't always much of a dancer, but something about the stickiness of summer had him wanting to lose himself among strangers and move to the kind of music he could feel through his whole body. He dressed in a sleeveless shirt and dark fitted jeans after work, hair loose around his face, and collected Dante for a minor adventure.
"Where should we start?" he asked his companion. "I might be able to get on the guest list at the place across the street. The manager had this rash..."

"Well, someone said he'd fuck me until my legs gave out," he said. "But, you know, I didn't want to presume."

"I didn't have any suggestions right this second, but if you have ideas, I'm more than curious," he said.

Then he pulled back. Hey, they were in public and he had a drink to finish.

"If you're going to say things like that, I'm definitely leaving it up to you," he said. "It sounds too interesting to pass up."

He rattled the ice in his now-empty glass.
"Let's dance for a while before we get a refill."

Hey, it was hard being in a place like this and not flirting wildly, okay?

Shitting hell, Anders. You were so fuckin' pretty, and Dante kind of resented he couldn't make himself heard if he tried to say so.

He found a clear spot and began to bounce to the music.

He leaned in to press a kiss against Anders' mouth. "It really is good to see you happy, man."
no subject
He lingered in the kiss for a long moment. It threw him off the beat, but he didn't really care.
"And thanks. I am happy. You don't seem to be having too bad a time of it yourself."
no subject
He was moving with the beat now. Not quite as bouncy.
no subject
"Sure," he said. "I don't want to shout at you all night."
no subject
He could block out the rest of the crowd, focus on Anders, the way his body moved with him like it was meant to.

It was a bit later when the DJ switched to a slower song, and Anders reached to clasp his hands at the back of Dante's neck.
"You got your wish," he teased. "Now we can just stand and sway."
