not_every_mage: ([neu] explaining)
You didn't have to be a liar to be bothered by the island's insistence on making everyone blurt out everything in their heads. Anders wasn't much of one, and he still realized that he wanted to avoid people after his chat with Amy, the movie in potions class, and a trip to get lunch in town that included supplying a bemused Perk barista with far more information about his kitten's dietary preferences than any stranger had the slightest interest in.

He'd thought about working the annoyance of it all out in the salle, but the Seeker had been there when he stopped by. He could just imagine how trying to practice his elemental spells with Cassandra there would have gone: Even if they'd managed distant cordiality at first, eventually someone would have gotten in someone else's way, and given the mood of the day it would lead to a shouting match about mages and Templars in no time at all.

Tempting as that was, he'd pass.

He went back to his room instead, and flopped onto his bed to crush imaginary candy on his phone for a while. It seemed like the activity least likely to get him into trouble.
